Skateboard

Hello fellow internet users.

When skating a skate board I started off with a squared shape to have then extruded the shape and move the points of the outline so that I was able to create the final shape and able able to curve the top half of the board, creating this shape become quite difficult at first but I was then bale to develop the shape with fewer points. Once I had created the outline shape of the skate board I then made the object editable so that I  was able to create the correct width of the board. Finally I then used the Hyber Nurb tool so that I was able to made the object more smoother so that it was to look more realistic and create the basic board shape.

Once I had created the basic shape of the board I then moved onto curving the board so that it would have more of a real feel towards it. I did this by using the bend tool and placed it as the very bottom of the board so that only the tip of the board was to bend. I used the bend tool of the board as a skate board is not entirely flat and has curves for skateboarders to place their feet.

Once I had created the board of the skate board I then when onto developing the trucks of the board. By doing so I started off with a simple cube shape and re scaled the shape so that the width of the shape was to become thinner. Once I had placed the base of the truck onto the board I then moved onto making the link for the wheels. I created this shape by using the oil tank shape so that I was able to create the mold. Once I had created the right size and and shape from the oil tank I then used the same object to make the hanger of the truck, this is for where the wheels will be placed. Once I had created the right shape and size of the hanger I then went onto making the whiles. I created the wheels by using the Torus shape, I then puled this shape outwards so that I was able to make the width of the wheels thicker. Once the sizing was right I then used the Buel tool so that I was to curve the edges more to create a rounded look.

Finally, after the shape of the skateboard was developed I then moved onto texturing the skateboard, for the base of the board I used a wooden texture as the skateboard is to look as if it was made from the 60's. And had then used a red rubber texture for the wheels.
