Rail

Hello fellow internet users.

When developed a rail for a skate park on Cinema 4D I started off by creating the rail itself, by doing so I used the cylinder shape to form the rail, I then scaled this shape so that the length of the object became longer. I then rotated this object horizontally.

Once I had created the rail for the skate park I then moved onto making the creating the legs for the rail, by doing so I used the cylinder shape, this was very easy for my as I was very familiar for me to do so this part of making the rail so very quick. Once I had my cylinder shape I scaled the object to shape so that it looked as if it was connected to the rail. I then mirrored this shape so that I had the exact shape and size at the other side of the rail.

Once I had the legs of the rail placed I also created another cylinder that looked as if it was coming out of the leg of the rail, this is the extended part of the leg so that the rail would be able to be re-sized to be either small or tall.

As I created and extent onto the legs of the rail I created a small little clip which looks as if it was to be going through the leg to hold everything together. I created this little clip by using both a cylinder for the bar and by also using to Torus shape to create the ring.

Once I had finished developing the legs of the rail I then moved onto making the feet for where the legs will be position upon. By creating this object I started of with with a square object and then scaled this shape so that I was able to create a flat object and develop a more rectangular look.

Once I finished developing the shape of a rail for the skate park I then moved onto texturing the object. For this park I used a metal texture and then changed the colour so that it turned more into a rusty blue. Once I had the texture into place I then messed around with the noise of the texture so that the metal looked as if it was slightly crust to give off a more real effect.
