When creating my 3D modelling project I will be creating six different objects which will be park of a skate park, this project is a gaming project and will be called Grand Theft Skateboard. by doing this I will be using Cinema 4D.
Shot gun
One of my objects will be a shot gun, by going this I am gonna model each part by starting with a squared surface. Once I have got a cube I will be extruding the object to make it look more rectangular. I will use three objects altogether when creating the shot gun, for example I will be creating the main body of the gun first which will be one object. Another object will be the trigger of the gun, by creating this I will be using a circular object and also by the tool B-Spline so that I am able to move able each point to create the right size and shape of the object.
Skate ramp
Another object that I will be create will be the Skate ramps which will create the over all feel of the park. By doing this I will be using the tool B-spline so that I am able to create the outline of the ramp, I will only be creating half of the skate ramp as I will then use the tool Lathe Nurbs so that it will create the other half of the object in a symmetry style. I will then use another object to create the rails on top of the skate ramp, when I have created a rail for one side of the ramp I will then use the symmetry tool so that there will be another rail placed on both sides when using the correct coordinates.
Skateboard
When modelling a skateboard whilst using Cinema 4D I will be starting of with a squared object which I will then be extruding to create a thin long surface which will be the base of the skateboard. I will also be using the bend tool so that I am able to bend the end of the skateboard so that the base so that the anatomy of the board is correct. When creating the wheels and the trucks of the skateboard I will start off with a thin squared shape to create the base of the truck so that I am then able to use a cylinder shape to then form as if it were to create a strong rounded shape where the wheels of the skateboard to then connect. When creating the wheels I will start off with the Torus shape and then extrude the shape outwards to develop a much more thicker shape.
Lamppost
When developing the lamppost I will be using a cylinder as a starting base and will then extrude the object so that it is the right length. Once I have extruded the cylinder I will then be moving on to creating the foot of the lamppost. When creating this object I will start off by using the Spline tool to create the outline shape of the base, I will then form the shape by using the Hyber Nurb tool so that I am then able to create a more bold shape. When forming the top half of the lamppost I will be using the same method as I have with the foot of the post apart I will be extruding the shape differently with sharper points in place. I will also be using the a glass texture so that you are able to look inside the top half for the the bulb will be placed.
Rail
When I start creating the rails which I will be placing along the top of the skate ramps I will start off with a horizontal cylinder to create a pipe looking object. I will then using another cylinder object but of this object turned virtical as if it was coming out from in the the first shape, this object will be a lot shorter than the first shape is this will be used as the leg of the rail. I will then copy this shape and move the copy so that the same shape and size of the leg will be on the other side of the rail. once I have then finished creating the legs of the rail I will then form the base by using a cube shape. By doing so I will extrude this shape so that the length becomes longer and will the shape to size so that the object becomes thinner.
Hand
For this particular object I will start off with the simple shape of a cube as this will be used at the base of the hand. I will then divide this shape into 4 and 3 as I will be extruding so that I am able to create 4 fingers for the hand. Before doing so I will be scaling the cube to size so that the base of the hand will be thinner. I will be extruding each finger one by one so that I am able to develop a more atomically look towards the shape. Once I have finished creating the fingers I will then start forming the shape of the thumb by extruding from the bottom division of the hand. Once I have created the typical shape of the hand I will then use the joint tool so that I am then able to create different points within the hand and forming the fingers and thumbs that that they are able to bend and move about. Once I have then put everything in place I will then use the Hyber Nurb tool so that I am then able to make more rounded feel towards the hand.
